Speakers and Presentations
A variety of speakers representing Canada, the USA, and the European Union captivated all in attendance with cutting edge technical presentations. In addition, Dr. Phil Nuytten’s presentation on the development of underwater technology on the West Coast of Canada created another memorable experience. The debate panel, debating the question “Should all surface supplied divers be required to train in SCUBA” provided a memorable ending to the conference.
Another highlight of the conference was the Awards Banquet and the presentation of the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award to Bruce Banks, a retired USN Captain, owner of the Divers Institute of Technology in Seattle, WA, and an avid supporter of the Canadian Standards Association’s family of diving standards.
