The Canadian Underwater Conference & Exhibition
Lifetime Achievement and Technical Excellence Awards

The Canadian Underwater Conference Committee hosted its first conference in 2008. That year two awards were presented: the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Technical Excellence Award. These awards are intended to recognize and honour individuals whose dedication and accomplishments have significantly contributed to the Canadian underwater industry.  The final selection is made by the DCBC Board of Directors.

In 2026 the Lifetime Achievement Award will be awarded to Dr. George Harpur, practicing physician at, and former Medical Director of the Tobermory Hyperbaric Chamber, and a leading figure in the Canadian diving and hyperbaric industry.
